Annual Servicing

Douglas Marine offers annual servicing of inboard diesel engines, saildrives and gensets. These services provide your engine with the care and maintenance necessary to promote longevity and functionality.

  • Diesel engine services can be performed while the boat is on the water. These include:

    • Replacing engine oil

    • Changing oil/fuel filters

    • Cleaning primary fuel filters and air filters

    • Checking the electrical connections on the engine

    • Checking and adjusting belts

    • Replacing belts as necessary

    • Checking gearbox oil and coolant levels

    • Degreasing and regreasing

    • Checking anodes

    • Checking the seawater pump and replacing impeller/seals

    • Ensuring bolts are secure

    Additional work can be completed upon request.

  • Saildrive Services can only be completed while the boat is being slipped. These include:

    • Draining and changing saildrive oil

    • Propeller removal and greasing of splines

    • Anode replacement

    • Checking saildrive tap

    • Checking the diaphragm and retaining ring
